LYnn gaines
Lynn Gaines does not live near the factor, nor did she have any interactions with any environmental groups. In short she is not environmentally savvy. When asked about the factory she did not have much to say past the name. She was not personally affected in any way by the factory mean her friends and family knew nothing about the factories controversy. This was reflected when question about the expansions, jobs to be created, carbon tax, and the fossil fuel increase in the area. The interesting part was that she did not have positive feeling towards the factory; this might have been because most factories bring images of environmental disaster. After informing her of the different factors that surround this factory she was conflicted.

Mitchell Mcleod
Mitchell Mcleod is probably the furthest interviewed from the factory, and because of this he has little to no connect to the factory itself. He does, however, know a few environmental groups across Philadelphia. What he knows about the factory is limited, He knows that it manages oil and refines it into other things, but that is it. His opinion before being confronted with the facts was negative, once again since he knew the refinery was a big polluter. Despite his connections to other environmental groups he did know many of the facts two we question him on like the expansion, jobs, carbon tax, and the increase of fossil fuels in the area. After being told all of this information he still felt negatively towards PES.
George Romel
George Romel did not know much about the PES refinery mainly do to his distance from the factory. Though even from his distanced point of view he is able to see the environmental effects. He says his point of view is negative since the factory is well known in his area for being a heavy pollution generator. He has even heard about the expansion to South port, but was not aware of the number of jobs that would be created by the expansion. He was also unaware of them being behind on their carbon tax. His overall personal opinion was that the refinery was not good since it could not manage its own output

Alex Dole
Alex Dole was another patron who did not know much about the refinery, he assumed it refined things based on the name and was even willing to be positive towards it if it was managing its pollution. When questioned on the various facts he reflected his unawareness through not knowing about the expansion, the amount of people to be hired, or the carbon tax issue. In the end he felt negatively towards the factory do to its inability to keep up with its carbon tax. |
Kevin Courtney
Kevin Courtney takes a different stand when it comes to the importance of the factory. Understand both that the plant is located close a wildlife preserve, that different odors pass over the community, and the evasion of taxes he still feels positively towards it. He says it is a necessary evil helping society progress, even in a domestic sense he state that there have been limited disturbances living near it.

Melissa courtney
Melissa Courtney lives near the factory and from that it is believed that she would know a few of the effects and working that surrounds it. She was aware that it is one of the largest refining complexes in the world, yet has never personally been affected by the factory she also was not aware of their plans to expand. She has however been worried about explosions that happen at the factory which shake her house on occasion. Besides that she does not like the refinery do to the emissions it lets off |
